A very small invitation

Emma, for a moment.

Emma is a British Longhair: gentle, very vocal, and extremely interested in your dinner. She is fluent in Universal Feline, English, Mandarin, and Portuguese—especially when food is involved.

One photo may turn into a few. Emma can be persuasive.

Spend a moment with Emma ↓

Emma, a fluffy brown-and-white cat, looks straight at the camera from her resting spot. — Emma, considering the situation.

An ongoing inquiry

What are you eating?

When food appears, the conversation begins. Sometimes she conducts a closer investigation.

Emma steps closer to the pot of pasta on the couch. — The pasta inquiry.

Emma lowers her face to a nearly empty plate beside a fork. — No plate left unchecked.

More of Emma

Between negotiations.

Emma had a stroke about five years ago. Sometimes her eyes seem a little far away. She still knows a good box, nearby friends, and a proper nap.

A moment beside you.

Emma looks out from a cardboard box. — A box, naturally.

Emma curls into a ball with her paws near her face. — A thorough nap.

Emma rests in a fluffy loaf shape on a small gray rug. — The loaf position.

Emma also has a gift for standing exactly where your next step was headed. Motive remains a mystery.

Come back whenever you could use another Emma break.
